Product character
- Vat Violet 2R (Vat Violet 1) is violet powder. It is insoluble in water, ethanol, and acetone, but soluble in benzene. It is slightly soluble in toluene, xylene, chloroform, nitrobenzene, o-chlorophenol, pyridine, and tetrahydronaphthalene. In alkaline solutions of sodium metabisulfite, it appears blue; in acidic solutions, it shows a reddish-purple color. Reducing dye 1 is an extremely important product in the field of reducing dyes. It dyes cotton with a vivid blue-purple color, has high affinity, average wettability, good coverage on cotton, excellent fastness, and a chemical resistance sunfastness of 6 grades. The other fastness levels are all between 4 and 5. It is often used for cotton fabric dyeing and direct printing, and has good affinity and wettability for silk, thus being highly favored by the market.
Application
Used for polyester/cotton blended fabric two bath dyeing of polyester with little color. The leuco used for dyeing cotton knitwear. and so on.
