Product character
Auramine O (Basic Yellow 2) .Soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water, it turns bright yellow, and decomposes when boiled. Soluble in ethanol is yellow. The dye powder is colorless in concentrated sulfuric acid, and turns light yellow after dilution; orange in concentrated nitric acid; white precipitate in sodium hydroxide solution.
